Video is some of the cheapest attention you can buy, and most of it gets wasted on ads nobody watches. We write it, produce it, aim it at the right people, and track what it produced.
If you're not sure which side you're on, that's a good thing to sort out on a call rather than with three months of budget.
Scripting, shooting, and editing, or a rework of footage you already have. Every concept gets cut into several lengths and openings so we can find out which version holds attention instead of guessing.
Views, visits, calls, and forms tracked back to the video that produced them, with view-through activity reported separately from clicks so you can see what the channel actually caused.
Someone arriving from a video is curious rather than committed. The page has to finish the story the ad started, and we design and test it until more of those visits become leads.
YouTube runs on Google's data, so we can target people by what they have been searching for, not just what they like. That plus your customer list and your site visitors is where the good performance comes from.
On YouTube you're interrupting a viewing experience and you have five seconds to attract attention. If you don't make a connection and earn the next 5 to 10 seconds, you diminish your investment in YouTube ads.
Most agency YouTube ads are a brand video that was made for a website, opening with a logo animation and a drone shot. We build ads the other way around: the hook first, then everything the hook has to pay off. Then we cut several openings for the same concept and let the watch data pick the winner.
Chris Raines spent the first decade of his career as a professional video producer in television and film, with hundreds of videos behind him. We write the script and hold the creative direction, then bring in the crew the shoot calls for: camera, editing, and whatever the concept needs.
You don't have to hire us on retainer to get value. If you're running video in-house, you can just buy the expertise by the hour.
For teams running video in-house that want an expert on call: script and hook feedback before you shoot, targeting structure, a second opinion on whether the numbers mean what the platform says they mean. $200/hr, no minimum commitment.
Book time →Yes. The hourly consulting above exists for exactly that. No retainer required, no pressure to upgrade.
Yes, and usually we should. We write the script, direct the shoot, and edit it, or we build ads out of footage you already own. What we won't do is take a two-minute brand video off your website and run it as an ad, because those almost never work.
Some people do click, and those are easy. The rest show up as more branded searches, more direct traffic, and a better conversion rate on your other channels while YouTube is running. We report clicks and view-through activity separately so the two never get blended into one flattering number, and the honest test is what happens to your total lead volume and cost when the channel turns on and off.
Plan on at least $4,000 a month in ad spend per city. In a metro of around 300,000 people, that's enough weight to reach the same person more than once and enough volume to learn from. Thinner than that and the campaign spends its life in the learning phase.
Video production is separate from ad spend and from your monthly fee. It's quoted once, up front, and typically runs $3,000 to $20,000 depending on the concept and what the shoot requires.
On YouTube. Google will happily extend your campaign across its video partner network, which is a large collection of other apps and sites where your ad plays next to things you'd rather not be next to and performance is usually worse. We turn that off by default and only reconsider it deliberately.
Plan on a quarter. The first month is mostly learning which opening holds attention, the second is where the good version gets found, and the third tells you whether the economics work. If it isn't going to work, we'd rather tell you in month two than keep billing you.
Yes. We'll audit the account before you commit to anything: what your retention curve looks like, where budget is leaking, and whether the conversions being reported are real response or view-through credit. You own the account either way, so a handoff is clean.
