The Problem: Non-Scalable Street Team Marketing

Corner to Corner is a forward-thinking nonprofit in Nashville, TN that seeks to impact their community by offering a business training class to promising inner-city entrepreneurs. 

Before brining Bullhorn Media on, Will Acuff and his team had relied on “Street Team” style marketing by being involved in the neighborhood and drumming up interest person-to-person to fill each class. While successful, this method proved to be unscalable. We were brought on to bring scalability to their marketing efforts using social media advertising. 

Big Results on a Small Budget

Like many nonprofits, Corner to Corner had a limited budget to work with. As a result, we had to dig deep to tightly target our audience to minimize waste as much as possible while still addressing the audience we wanted to reach.

With a monthly media budget of only $450, we were able to generate consistent leads at a rate of $7.71 per lead.

Organic Ad Creative That Connects

Previous social ad efforts were marked by a reliance on stock photos and highly designed elements. When we took over the account, we opted to use more organic and natural images that connected with the audience and blended in to the news feed.

We also produced unique video testimonials from past program participants to build in social proof into The Academy’s social advertising. 

Combined with frequent ad refreshes, our creative was able to cut through the noise and generate results consistently.
